Threads in general.....

Be aware that threads will eventually fall off the front page and be forgotten. In trying to keep the site pithy and easy to navigate, I will start deleting threads after they fall off the second page with a few exceptions:

1. If a thread contains material that remains current in nature (for instance, What Are You Listening to Now), I'll keep it.
2. A particular (not general) book discussion or particular movie discussion.

Comments on story lines or characters will be deleted after they fall off the second page.

It shouldn't be like that. Are you sure the preferences aren't set to only show up to a certain date? It should be that preferences can be set to "the beginning."
